G’day, I’m Joc

Having been a high performance team facilitator and coach for a number of years whilst running my Elite Team Leadership business, I gained a greater understanding of the attributes that successful leaders possess, and how quality leadership can result in enhanced team performance and engagement. I worked with and presented at a range of businesses, sporting associations and schools including Mercedes Benz, Holmesglen Institute, Gippsland Grammar School, Equestrian Victoria, community sporting clubs and many more.

It was my passion for coaching and assisting others to reach their full potential that created a natural progression for me to coach local footy. Although I had played football from junior level through to senior level and continue to be a die hard footy fan, it was only recently that I decided to accept a role as a footy coach.

During my time as a footy coach in Geelong, where I live with my young family, I began to observe a number of challenges associated with the role. It was difficult to be sure of what drills and skills would match my team’s skill and fitness level, while keeping my players engaged and enjoying their footy.

This is where the idea behind The Footy Coach began: an online resource of drills, skills and other tips for inexperienced coaches and players, and for well seasoned coaches and players who want to continue to evolve and improve their game. I hope that The Footy Coach can help take you and your team to the next level.
